Initially I put this down to the eee’s fairly paltry celeron processor – at 600 mhz it’s fine for a simple bit of web surfing and word processing, but for anything more taxing it’s a bit underpowered, so I assumed that full screen video was beyond the reach of the eee. However when I tried the video was very choppy – and only worked when not running in the full screen mode. I remember when I first got my eee one of my friends commented on using it to watch BBC’s iplayer – now one of the most popular ways to watch telly in the UK.

I think the resolution of the screen also kills it for me as far as web surfing goes, most websites are designed for wider resolutions and I don't want to be scrolling side to side, up and down is normal. I think the local Best Buy has one for $469. But at that price point I can spend only a little more and get a full functioning Laptop that can run Windows Vista. Also you would be nice to have as an personal orginizer. Often I will be watching TV and see something I would want to look up, but I won't do it right away, but then I forget what it was I wanted to look up. I been wanting a small laptop, something that I can set next to my easy chair so that I can look things up online as I am watching TV.
